Adrift in a liminal space outside of time, a man confronts the history of Black America by bearing witness to the fear, resilience, and joy therein - embodying various archetypes through each era. Through movement, music, and mask work, actor/creator Martin Burnley and composer/cellist Okorie Johnson take audiences on an abstract and panoramic journey through years of black oppression, seen through the eyes of those who lived it. This stunning and innovative devised theatre piece is a beautiful and terrifying story of struggle presented with transcendent performances by two impressive local performers.

Following the performance Messrs. Burnley and Johnson offer a talkback with questions from attendees.
