With a book by Terrance McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, RAGTIME is the dramatic musical retelling of E.L. Doctorow's novel of the same name. RAGTIME tells the story of Black, White, and Immigrant America at the turn of the 20th century. Filled with courage, compassion, hope, and the promise that we will reach that day where these lines no longer exist, and we are all one America, one people, and one voice.
It may be 1906, and the era of RAGTIME may be coming to an end, but more than a century later, we find ourselves asking the same question and longing to still reach that day.
